Military and Veterans
Having served in the military for 4 1/2 years, I believe we need to stand behind our men and
women who have served and who are currently serving in the military. They are the ones who
protect and defend our national security. They are the ones who fight the war on terrorism. They
are the men and women who continue to serve bravely around the world day after day and each
deserves all of the support and resources that we as a nation have to offer. I fully support
increasing funding for family support centers, increases in funding for pay raises and
reenlistment bonuses, expanded child tax credit to families with active duty military personnel,
and most of all, leadership and decision making that will keep our troops safe.
For the veterans who proudly served our country and kept us safe, we should ensure that each
person is able to receive the benefits they fully deserve. They have fought hard to protect our
nation and we should be able to give something back to them in return for their service. We
should be able to protect their pensions, ensure that they have immediate access to the
healthcare they were promised, and have the respect and support of the nation as a whole.
