Healthcare is not a luxury
Affordable healthcare is one of the most important issues facing
our district. As your representative I will work to help ease the
burden of skyrocketing medical expenses and insurance by
supporting and implementing programs that will directly help the
citizens of District 4.
Having worked in the medical industry for the majority of my
life, both while in the military and in my civilian life, I bring a
special insight to the equation of finding a solution. One such
solution may come in the form of tax incentives to businesses
who provide more affordable health insurance options to their
employees. Another might come by reducing the number of
frivolous lawsuits filed each year, which in the end only serve to
drive the costs of medical insurance up. We could implement
programs that help reimburse a portion of college and medical
school tuition for graduating doctors and other healthcare
professionals who agree to provide x amount of "actual" free or
reduced price medical care to individuals who are unable to
afford full medical coverage.
There are many options and plans to be considered and
implemented, but the bottom line is to provide for the citizens of
our district. It's time to stop talking about solutions. It's time for
action. If we can spend millions of dollars a day to fight a war
then we should be able to set aside a portion of this money to
provide assistance to our own citizens.

"I find Greg to be remarkably sensitive to the medical needs of our area. He is constantly asking questions about the problems that medicine is facing in the 21st century, and asks for advice as to how these problems should be handled from the physician's perspective. This is refreshing, to have a candidate that is humble enough to know that he does have the answers to difficult problems, and is aggressive enough to be willing to supply some definite answers."
