Rural Communities
It is my belief that we need to restore pride in and revitalize our communities. Rural communities
make up a quarter of America's population and over 80% of the land area. Without good paying
jobs, affordable healthcare or access to a good education, these communities face challenges.
We need to offer solid economic support, high-quality affordable healthcare and world class
educational opportunities for all of our rural areas because these areas do make up a large part
of our population and are a key factor to the future for our entire country.
