Social Security
Many Americans are worried about their retirement security. They worry that their social security,
401K plan or pension and savings will not be enough. We need to strengthen and secure social
security so that generations to come will have social security. It is extremely vital to everyone for
us to work tirelessly on this because not everyone is able to invest in a 401K, not everyone has a
pension, and not everyone has a separate savings account set aside for retirement. Because of
this, social security pensions are more important than ever. The social security trust fund is
based on the contributions of millions of workers in order to ensure that every American can
achieve retirement security. This means that social security taxes should only be spent on social
security benefits. Our senior citizens should receive the benefits they were promised. We need to
fight to ensure that everyone is able to achieve financial security, protect older employees
pensions, eliminate special treatment for executive pension plans, provide all Americans the
ability to save, defend workers pensions, increase executive accountability, give employees
control over their retirement savings, and allow older Americans who have retired or lost their
jobs to participate in the Medicare program.
